Every year, the Mission of Hope team brings Hershey Chocolate bars as a wonderful treat to the working students at AUP. In the past, we were limited to the number of bars that we could bring, but this year our goal was to bring one for every student! This goal inspired a friendly competition between the undergraduate Chapter, Epsilon Xi, and alumni Chapter, Southern Appalachian Alumni Chapter (SAAC), of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.
Over the course of the spring semester, both Chapters assisted the Mission of Hope team to reach their goal. The competition was to see which Chapter could collect the most Hershey Chocolate bars as a service event. The winner would receive recognition and a prize at their formal celebration in April. I am happy to announce that Brothers collected 596 chocolate Hershey bars!
Congratulations to the Southern Appalachian Alumni Chapter for collecting the most Hershey bars! Thank you to all of the Brothers who participated in the event. The Mission of Hope really appreciates your dedication to service, our goal, and our mission.
